Katrina Kaif eyes the National award 2010

Katrina Kaif seems to be aiming high with her film Raajneeti. The lady who isn’t known to win awards for her acting apparently aims to win a National Award for her performance in ‘Raajneeti’.

In the movie she has delivered long dialogues in shudh Hindi and that too perfectly. In fact, director Prakash Jha used to sit with Katrina during free time to get her Hindi right. And she even got a Hindi-Urdu tutor for practicing the national language.

The actress who is not so fluent in Hindi used to have dubbing artists for her films until not very long ago. But for ‘Raajneeti’, she worked really hard on her Hindi and did her own dubbing.

And after all this painstaking, tongue-twisting hardwork, she has a lot of expectations from her performance in the film for which she got a chance to work with some of the fine actors from the film industry like Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpai and Naseeruddin Shah. The lucky damsel is sure that this film will win her an award.

Her beau Salman Khan never got a National Award, and incidentally, never a Filmfare Best Actor award too.

Either they can’t seem to have enough of each other or filmmaker Prakash Jha is discreetly trying to cash in on their sparkling chemistry. After having completed the shoot of Jha’s film Raajneeti last year, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif came together again earlier this week at Future Studios in Mumbai to shoot a few extra scenes.

The additional shoot included close-up shots that are necessary for improving the continuity and flow in the film’s screenplay.

That’s not it. Jha now wants to shoot a music video on Katrina, Ranbir and Arjun Rampal. The video will primarily be shot for promotional purpose.

In fact, Jha claims that Katrina and Ranbir have totally “surrendered” to the film and have no issues in extra shoots.

I am not hot and sexy: Katrina Kaif 2010

No doubt Katrina Kaif is one of the most happening actresses in Bollywood today. She is known for her glamour roles, and guys feel weak in the knees every time she puts on a hot avatar. But this very girl doesn’t believe she is sexy.

Katrina said that she doesn’t think she is hot and sexy. She thinks that the audience has certain opinion of each person, and that one should not disappoint them. She quoted the example of Vidya Balan, who is known for her ethnic roles, and yet people love her in that image. She added that everybody has a place and one should be comfortable with that.
