Hilary Duff stayed busy running errands in Los Angeles on Sunday

When it comes to looking cool while running errands, Hilary Duff seems to have it all figured out. And the "So Yesterday" singer was rocking a chic look as she made her rounds yesterday in Los Angeles.

Duff sported a pair of cutoff shorts along with a layered look including a tied-at-the-top striped sweater overtop a cream-colored scoopneck shirt. And don't forget about her cowboy boots!

Hilary recently told Allure magazine that despite her high-profile career, she's just like every other girl (she's on the cover this month, too!).

"I'm not a perfect, prude girl. I like to do normal things that 20-year-olds do. But as good as it is for the rest of the world to watch people fall apart, it's not a respectable way to be talked about. I don't want that attention. If I can't get any from what I'm doing now, I'll figure out a different plan."
